Visita de la ONU y del museo
de la Cruz Roja en Ginebra
Con los miembros de Lazomun y algunos otros estudiantes, fuimos a Ginebra para visitar el museo de la Cruz Roja y la ONU.
Primero visitamos la ONU. Una guía nos mostró algunas salas, como la biblioteca y una sala de conferencias.
También tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a una reunión entre algunos representantes de países, lo que nos permitió comprender mejor el funcionamiento de la ONU y los desafíos que enfrentan para mantener la paz y la cooperación entre las naciones.
Una vez terminada la visita, fuimos al museo de la Cruz Roja.
En este museo, se presentan testimonios de personas que han vivido conflictos y desastres, así como documentos históricos sobre la labor humanitaria de la Cruz Roja.
Esta visita fue muy instructiva y apasionante, aprendimos muchas cosas.

What is Lazomun and what are our pupils’ roles ?
LazoMun is a small-scale simulation of the United Nations (U.N).
It is one of thousands of Model U.N projects (MUN) that take place every year around the world.
For the third year, Louis Querbes secondary school has the chance to take part in LazoMun which was created by the Lazaristes school in Lyon four years ago. This year, seventeen voluntary pupils will prepare and take part in two different secondary school committees.
In the LazoMun, there are five important roles, the President, the Vice President, the Delegates, the Press and the Messaging Service.
The President and the Vice President are there to supervise the rest of the committee.
The Delegates work on two different committees (one works on the first theme, they must think about two themes with their country (1st : How is it possible to fight against the melting glaciers in the Arctic ? 2nd : How is it possible to protect important heritage sites in wartime?)
The Press is responsible for writing articles on a specific topic.
Finally, the Messaging Service is present mainly during the meeting to pass messages between the Delegates.
